Authentication Platform Transition: ForgeRock → Okta

Effective Date: September 15
Start Time: After 5:00 PM EST

We will be transitioning our authentication services from ForgeRock to Okta starting September 15th after 5:00 PM. Users may experience brief login interruptions during the update.

What’s Changing

• New Login Screen:
  The sign-in page will have a refreshed, modern Okta interface. You may notice a new layout, updated branding, and a streamlined login flow.
• Updated Email Notifications:
  System-generated emails (such as MFA prompts, password resets, and verification messages) will come from Okta and may look different than the current ForgeRock versions.
• Improved User Experience:
  Faster authentication, enhanced reliability, and simplified access to applications.

What You Need to Do

• No action is required prior to the transition.
• After the update, simply sign in using the new Okta login screen with your existing email and password
• If you experience issues, contact your state agency Background Screening Unit.
